About This Trail

Naksan is the smallest of Seoul’s four inner mountains, rising to just 125 m above sea level, but the walk along its ridge is one of the most pleasant short hikes the city has to offer. The route follows the Hanyangdoseong city wall, with views opening on both sides β€” the dense neighbourhood of Ihwa-dong to the west, and the rooftops and mural streets of the Naksan art district to the east.

There are no steep climbs, no rocky scrambles, and no special equipment needed. The gentle descent from Naksan Park to Heunginjimun Gate makes the walk feel natural and unhurried β€” an ideal evening stroll with a friend or partner.
